1. I would like to buy the wardrobe on your webpage, but I live in Helsinki. How can it be delivered? How can I pay?

We deliver the furniture to the customer as agreed, as a cargo or by our own delivery service including carry-in and assembly. The product can be paid in advance, or via Nordea, Op or Sampo Bank internet banking or by Visa or Mastercard.  

 

2. How much does a delivery to Helsinki cost?

Costs are calculated case by case, depending on the delivery method used, freight company or our own delivery. Please inquire, tel. +358 10-4231000 or info@fasetti.fi  

 

3. I discovered an interesting piece of furniture on your web page, but I would like to measure it and to consider the purchase for couple of days. Can I reserve the object?

Because the majority of the furniture is unique and individual, it is possible to reserve them for a short time (1-3 days only). Please call: +358 10-423 1000 in order to reserve the object. Against a deposit of 10% of the total price of the product, we can hold the product even for longer time. If the purchase will not take place, we will not refund the deposit. Items with discounted price can not be reserved.  

 

4.  I would like to buy a chest of drawers, but I live in  Ivalo /Kuusamo /Utsjoki, which way the object will be delivered? How much are the freight charges?

We  pack the items on the pallets by using cardboard and plastic. We have a cargo agreement with Kaukokiito, which deliver items to your home door. Freight costs are customer responsibility, and the estimate charges can be inquired from Fasetti tel. +358 10-423 1000.  

 

5. On your pages, I found an interesting closet with a bar, but I need a similar one with shelves. Is it possible to install shelves, and what would be the cost for that?

We make the requested modifications to the items for sale at our own workshop. For a closed a full-sized pine (glued laminated timber) shelf cost 25€, middle wall 35€, bar 20€ (incl. fasteners), 30-60cm bread shelf 15€.  

 

6. For a long time, I have been looking for a tv table / side table / shelf / other item but I haven't found. Would it be in the Fasetti selection?

You can inquire by phone, if you have not seen that kind of furniture on our web pages. The items in our selection may vary on weekly basis. We also manufacture custom-made furniture in pine, birch, oak, and walnut etc.

 

7. Where are your furniture for sale from? 

From estates, private persons, lawyers' offices, companies. We also have several buyers, who visits house by house in order to purchase items.
 

8. How do I know that the product I have reviewed is genuinely old / antique, or a newly produced copy of an old furniture item?

For all of our products, a clarification about the age and manufacturing material can be obtained.
 
 

9. If I would like to get rid of the furniture / lamp / art later, do they have any value?

Generally, all the items sold by us are valued when you want to replace them. We also buy them directly. During the last 20 years, we have noticed a trend, that if a customer has purchased a set of furniture in the early 90's, he/she might be reimbursed with a same purchase amount. There are some cases, when a customer has bought some rustic furniture from us 15 years ago, and he/she sold them recently netting more money than he/she paid earlier.
 
 

10. We are purchasing furniture to our enterprise (Assisted Living Facility).

Do the prices of your products include VAT? – A part of our products is taxed with VAT (23%), and a part of the products are taxed with a marginal taxation, not including a deductible tax. Please confirm this in every case, if it is an essential matter.
 
 

11.Can some old furniture item include any insects?

It is possible but unlikely. We have detected some living furniture beetles during these years, but 99% of their holes are made by non existing furniture beetles.
 
 

12. There is a frowsy smell inside my old closet, how to get rid of it?

By using beeswax, linen oil or by washing interior with mild "Tolu" solution.
 
 

13.  I have an old reclainer, which needs to be upholstered. How much does it cost?

Without seeing the object, we can not provide any estimate about the job. You can send us a photo or you can come with the furniture item to visit our workshop to get a consultation. Before we start the work, we will inform you about the final costs, so there are no surprises to you.
 
 

14. I have an old dining set, and the surface of the table is in bad condition. How much does it cost to fix it?

15. If I bring my furniture for restoration / upholstering, how long will it take? 

 Depending on the workflow, but usually about 4-8 weeks.
 
 

16.  How do you remove the old paint layers in furniture?

There are several ways, and we consider case by case when deciding how to proceed. We use mechanical tools, sickles, knives, scratching tools etc. We use also different kinds of warming tools. And especially when there are multiple paint layers, we initially remove them by using paint remover solvent (manufactured by Borma, Italia). What comes to the rustic furniture, our intention is always first to study if there are ornament or floral paintings under the top layers, and if yes, can they be saved.
 
 

17. What comes to my grandmother’s mirrored dresser, Can I get the old paint layers removed at your workshop?

Yes, we do all kind of renovation works, including paint removal, for furniture owned by our customers.
 
 

18. I would like to sell my old furniture to you. How to proceed?

We hope you make your initial contact via e-mail with the furniture photos. This way, you will accelerate our response.
 
 

19. I've got old furniture / other objects, which I am not selling, but I would like to know their value. Do you do appraisals? 

We do assigned appraisals for insurance companies, lawyer's offices, estates etc. for a suitable charge.
 
  

20. We are about to sell our mother’s estate. What kind of objects do you accept?

We buy all kinds of estates. We empty the farmhouse estates. We also accept objects which are not available on our web pages or at our store.
 
 

21. How far from Lahti do you pick up the objects?

The distance is not a problem; we are used to operate even outside of Finland, if the quality and quantity of the objects are in acceptable level.
 
 

22. I tried to order a cupboard at your netstore, and when selecting the delivery method, I got three options: Postal service, Matkahuolto, or pick up at Fasetti. I would like to have it delivered. Why that was not one of the options available?

What comes to the freight prices of larger furniture items, it varies to different corners of Finland and that makes the pricing very difficult. In those cases, you can select "Pick up at Fasetti" and agree the delivery method later with us by e-mail or phone. Then we can indicate, how much will the delivery to your door cost. Also when there are difficult objects to be packed up or fragile items, only option is "Pick up at Fasetti". Also then you can agree the delivery method by calling +358 10-4231000.
